Writing A Great Promotional Email
- Choose an attention grabbing subject line

Don't be mysterious or overly clever. Make sure the subject clearlt indicates what the email is about. Saying something like "enjoy 200% ROI with this investment" is more powerful than saying "How are you".
- Benefits, benefits, benefits
The first few sentences must capture the reader's attention. If they don't, you will lose the reader. These sentences must clearly demonstrate to the reader the value they will gain if they continue to read. Remember the old marketing adage - it's all about the customer. Make certain they understand how they will benefit from your offer.
- Action oriented
End your email with a call to action. Tell your readers what they need to do next to gain the benefits you described. Tell them to "click here to register" or "click here to purchase". Make sure it's easy for them to take the action.
- Make sure it's well written
Your entire email should less than 250 words. No more than 2 or 3 paragraphs. Use the active voice in your email. Short, concise sentences are better, especially on your web site. Make sure to provide all the information required so the reader can make an informed decision.
- Make it readable
Keep paragraphs short. Use bullets to emphasize key points. Use white space to avoid having your email look too crammed.
